Arrive Early — At Least 45 Minutes Before

The bridge area gets extremely crowded by 8:30 PM. Arrive by 8:15 PM to secure a good viewing spot on the riverside walkway or the bridge pedestrian path. The east side (Dragon Bridge side) offers the best fire view.

Bring a Camera with Manual Mode

Phone cameras struggle with the fire's brightness contrast. Use a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode: ISO 800-1600, shutter speed 1/100s, and a wide aperture. A tripod helps immensely for long-exposure shots of the LED display.

Keep a Safe Distance from the Fire

The fire jets are extremely hot and unpredictable with wind. Stay at least 15-20 meters from the dragon's head. People with long hair should tie it back, and keep children close. The water spray is safe and actually refreshing on hot nights.

Getting There

The bridge connects Da Nang International Airport area to the city center. Grab a Grab taxi for about 50,000-80,000 VND ($2-3.50) from most hotels. Walking from the city center takes about 20-30 minutes along the Han River promenade — a lovely pre-show stroll.

The night market at the bridge's eastern end opens around 6 PM with local street food — bánh tráng cuốn thịt heo (pork rice paper rolls), mì quảng, and fresh seafood. Eat first, then grab a spot for the show. The area around Bach Dang Street is packed with great options.

Da Nang is warm year-round, but the dry season (March–August) offers the clearest skies and best photo conditions. Avoid typhoon season (September–November) when shows may be cancelled due to strong winds. Summer weekends are the most crowded but also the most vibrant.
